Full Itinerary
Day 1: Ajaccio to Calvi Distance: 170 km / 106 miles Route Highlights: Ajaccio, Gulf of Porto, Calanques de Piana, Calvi. Morning: Start your journey in Ajaccio, Corsica’s capital and birthplace of Napoleon Bonaparte. Take some time to explore the city’s historic center, including Napoleon’s House and the Ajaccio Cathedral. Afternoon: Ride north along the stunning west coast. Your first stop is the Gulf of Porto, a UNESCO World Heritage site known for its dramatic coastline. Continue to the Calanques de Piana, a natural wonder of sharp red cliffs towering over the turquoise sea. Stop at Calanques de Piana: A perfect spot to take in the views and snap some photos of the striking rock formations. Continue the scenic ride along the coast to Calvi, a beautiful town known for its medieval citadel and beautiful beaches. Evening: Arrive in Calvi and explore its charming streets. Head to the Calvi Citadel for sunset views over the town and the surrounding bay. Day 2: Calvi to Porto-Vecchio Distance: 170 km / 106 miles Route Highlights: Île-Rousse, Col de la Serra, Zonza, Porto-Vecchio. Morning: Leave Calvi and ride east towards Île-Rousse, a small coastal town with a lovely beach. From here, head inland towards Col de la Serra, a mountain pass offering stunning panoramic views of the island. Stop at Col de la Serra: Enjoy the cool mountain air and the spectacular view of the coastline below. Afternoon: Continue through the Ospédale Forest, eventually reaching the charming village of Zonza. This area is known for its rugged beauty and lush greenery. Stop in Zonza: A picturesque village where you can enjoy a coffee before continuing your ride. After Zonza, head south through the Alta Rocca mountains to Porto-Vecchio, one of Corsica's most popular destinations. Known for its old town and beautiful beaches, Porto-Vecchio offers plenty to explore. Evening: Arrive in Porto-Vecchio and take a stroll through the charming old town. End your day with dinner at one of the many seaside restaurants overlooking the harbor. Day 3: Porto-Vecchio to Bonifacio Distance: 65 km / 40 miles Route Highlights: Santa Giulia, Bonifacio. Morning: On your final day, head south from Porto-Vecchio to the Santa Giulia beach, a beautiful spot to relax and enjoy the crystal-clear waters. The drive along the coast offers amazing views of white sandy beaches and turquoise waters. Stop at Santa Giulia: Spend some time soaking up the sun or take a short swim. Afternoon: Continue to the iconic town of Bonifacio, perched dramatically on the cliffs at the southern tip of the island. The ride is short, but the scenery is stunning as you approach the cliffs. Once in Bonifacio, explore the medieval old town and take in views of the surrounding islands. Stop at Bonifacio: Visit the Bonifacio Citadel, which offers panoramic views of the Strait of Bonifacio and the islands of Sardinia.
